Being able to fake sincerity. If you can do that you have it made.
Communicative, structured, patience, compassion, dedicated, knowing and believing in the school’s mission. Have the academic preparation in educational management. Share knowledge and create a positive and caring work team from every position in the school, meaning maintenance, faculty, parents, students, and administration. Supervise and evaluate teachers fairly as to commend and recommend for improvement within a reasonable time period.

A Great leader is someone who is supportive, a good listener and a great problem solver.

I believe a great leader knows and models positive communications skills and seeks solutions with a win/win approach. One great leader I think of is an expert at handling problems calmly and helps everyone feel important to the decisions and brainstorming of options. I am in awe when I observe her in action.

My staff loves Free spirit.
A wholistic perspective on the child and/or staff member in consideration of stressors and responsibilities both within and outside of the school and the ability to facilitate reciprocal community supports and ties, so that students and staff actively engage in receiving community resources and giving back.
A great school leader is one who backs and gives the benefit of any doubt to his or her Teachers; A great school leader never forgets why they entered the field of Education; and lastly, a great school leader embraces their own cherished school memories, striving to incorporate those memories or experiences with the students they now serve.
A good leader is flexible, knows the particular characteristics of the school population, recognizes that the teachers are experts in their jobs, is visible, withholds judgement until all the facts are in, provides ways to revitalize a thirst for excellence and knows how to say please and thank you.

Integrity — Have it personally and look for it in others.
A great school leader cultivates a range of partnerships with parents, peers, and school administration to support the progress and learning of each student and teacher.
There is so much written on the topic of School Leadership. It is important to be aware of current and past research based information. However, over the years I have repeatedly believed that a vital part of outstanding leadership is a bit of natural ability also.
Commitment, dedication, patience, and a really good sense of “humor.” I work in a middle school, and believe me, some days that is what it takes to make it through the day with some level of sanity!
Knowing and understanding every child’s independent needs and where they are coming from
