Share knowledge and create a positive and caring work team from every position in the school, meaning maintenance, faculty, parents, students, and administration. Supervise and evaluate teachers fairly as to commend and recommend for improvement within a reasonable time period.
Servant Leadership with a clearly stated vision for the students/staff in the building makes for a respected administrator when everyone is part of building and carrying out the vision.
Servant Leadership with passion and along with a clearly stated and communicated vision. Everyone works better with and for a respected leader that leads and empowers the rest of his/her building team.
Great school leaders have care and compassion for students, families and staff. They make a commitment to working together with students, families, communities and staff to help children realize their full potential.

A great school leader cultivates a range of partnerships with parents, peers, and school administration to support the progress and learning of each student and teacher.
There is so much written on the topic of School Leadership. It is important to be aware of current and past research based information. However, over the years I have repeatedly believed that a vital part of outstanding leadership is a bit of natural ability also.
Commitment, dedication, patience, and a really good sense of “humor.” I work in a middle school, and believe me, some days that is what it takes to make it through the day with some level of sanity!
