Creating awareness of what constitutes bullying helps with self-assessment and sometimes reduces bullying because when some people know better they do better.
I strongly believe that using humor to teach social-emotional skills to students/ children is essential because student will take it as a way of having fun without knowing that they are actually learning. Hence teaching social-emotional to students in this manner will essentially allow students to see the picture at the their level of understanding.
Would use these resources in 3 ways: counseling individual students; incorporate them into my Advisor 6 class Leadership project; share some with a few of our elementary school principals as none of our district elementaries have counselors.
Our School Resource Officer really needs useful, readable, relevant materials to use with his small group sessions. These materials fit his needs perfectly!
It would be a blessing to receive these books. I have little to know budget to buy books at my school. I find myself purchasing one book a paycheck on Ebay. I usually have to buy the book that matches my lesson theme that month. Since I see K-3 every week and 4-5 every month, I have about 4-5 books to buy. It gets expensive, especially because I have 3 kids of my own. I would LOVE to have a few of these books for small group book study in 5th grade. I would also like to use them in classroom guidance. I was hoping to get a grant this year, but I’ve had no luck.
We have over 710 students in our school district. We are always looking for new ways to educate our students about this important topic. We would use the books with individuals, small groups and classroom lessons.

These books would be exceptional resources for my work as an elementary school counselor. I would use them in my guidance lessons, work with individual students, small group lessons, presentations and assemblies. Additionally, I would love to be able to share with my counseling network community so they can learn of more resources that will help change the culture on their campuses. Sharing lessons I create with these books will impact other school counselors and their students.

Our theme of the year is kindness and respect for one another and these resources would be amazing to use with our kids. We have an upcoming anti-bullying week and the kids are jumping on board in a big way. These activities and resources would be great for us to use during their lunches and in small groups, as this is an initiative that we will be carrying far beyond just one week. It will help us come up with other ideas that we can utilize!
I am a division counsellor and I would share these resources with our Wellness Coordinators in my many schools to help share the information with as many students as possible. As well as using them within my own groups and sessions.
I am a middle school counselor and anti-bullying specialist in my district. I was also informed that I will be writing anti-bullying curriculum for the district. These books would be invaluable. What a great offer!

I work in a very low ses community. There are so very few resources for our students in and outside of school. This year I have finally gotten free of being test coordinator and can finally get into classrooms and start seeing students in groups and as individuals. If I was awarded this gift it would be used to build relationships with students and support their social emotional skills so they can build up their own future and the future of their community.
I am a school counselor on the special area rotation. I would use these books for my lessons in classes.

In Our World Language class, I have a unit on bullying for my third graders. We use: Bullying Is Not An Indigenous Tradition-bullying.gov, Bullying Is Not The Ojibwe Way-WeRNative.org and the book, Muskrat Will Be Swimming by Cheryl Savageau. We take 2 surveys: Am I Being Bullied & Am I A Bully. We cover the 4 points to see if our behavior is bullying: imbalance of power, on purpose, repetition of behavior and on purpose. We will be greatful if our grade class of 100 third graders won your prize for our Ojibwe Language & Culture class library!! 💞. Thank you for caring.
I am a principal at a low-income school in Phoenix, AZ. These materials would be a wonderful help to our school, AmeriSchools Academy, K – 8.
I am a counselor and I have been looking for books to use with my campus teachers to build and empower our students- our PK-5th 750+ Student campus. Our district covers around 21,000 students and they are so transient- To put a book in the hand of each teacher would be amazing because I can support more students. Having the power and understanding to make better choices and have more of a positive self esteem creates a better community and a better future for us all!!

This year I moved from a suburban school to an urban environment. Unfortunately there is a great deal of bullying taking place. These materials would help to facilitate both my small and large groups.
As a school counselor, I play a huge role in our Olweus core team. We are always looking for new resources to use . Our rotation schedule is such that we are having meetings 1 time very 4 days. I do a bullying survey with my 4-6 students every year and last year only 1 student responded that sometimes they act like a bully. Clearly we don’t have just one person doing all of the bullying at my school, so I would use these resources to further help students understand that, at times, their behavior IS bullying. And that they need to make better choices in how their use their power and get their needs met so as not to be hurtful to others.
As a school based therapist at a Pre-K through 8th school in Baltimore City I would use these resources to do: classroom prevention activities, Family education and outreach, staff in services training, as therapy tools for working with students who have been bullied, and as a resource for prevention groups and therapeutic groups.
I would love to use these resources as a school counselor with my school. We celebrate Friendship and kindness week, in February as well as strategies throughout the school year.
Hi, I work with special needs students who are often picked on & bullied. I would use the books to teach the students I meet with each week to work on Social Skills. Thank you for all your great resources.
Rhonda Sloan- as a winner of this bundle, I would use the resources to continue to strengthen my 5th grade students’ knowledge surrounding this global epidemic. By sharing and engaging in the stories and resources, my students, as the leaders our school could begin an active “Anti-bullying campaign” where they would plan presentations for the younger classrooms, Monday morning assemblies, and set up safe spaces for students to come to in order to report “bullying behaviors’ that are being observed on campus. I think these resources would really allow my students to see the “Real world” connections and to immerse themselves in becoming problem solvers and implementing positive strategies and behaviors that are inclusive of our entire student population regardless of differences. I am thinking that through this experience, the students may also create a statement that would become our motto or active mission statement.
As the anti-bullying specialist I would use these books to educate students on social interactions that are acceptable and not acceptable. They would also be a great asset to help students who have committed a bullying act to learn how their actions had hurt another student.
These books would be a valuable resource to be used to support students learning social emotional skills and to prevent mean behavior within our schools.
Hi as a mother of 4 children one with ADD and one which has auditory processing delay I can definitely benefit so my children don’t get bullied in school and guide them how to stay calm and collected
These books would be an asset to any school. I would showcase these books in our school library for checkout. Any students who would check these books out would have the option to write a comment or review about what they learned and be publicized in our newsletter or entered into a raffle for anti-bullying gear.
I would use these resources in my K-5 classroom guidance and counseling program!
I would use all of the resources in my classroom guidance with students. We also have a Middle School ‘Kindness Club’- I bet that the students could use these books to support their work among their peers.
I would use the materials, in our middle school, for prevention training.
Thank you for offering these giveaways! I am in a rural district with no counseling budget and would be excited to use some of these resources in my home building (a Jr/Sr High) and share some when our department visits the elementary schools

As a school psychologist, I have used the series that includes “Weird,” “Dare” and “Tough” with the students I see in small group social skills and individually. Many of my students have difficulty maintaining appropriate social behaviors and regulating their emotions. This series has helped me to explain perspective and how things may look different based on things you don’t always see. The students enjoy coming up with “the right answer” when we read the books, even if they can’t employ them, yet, in real life. Plus they really like shouting out “weird” or “dare” as those words pop up in the story.

I work with 4th-8th grade students at the highest performing charter school in Washington, DC. Our students can only achieve academic success if they have a safe and bully free space to learn. I am recognized as a Bullying Prevention Specialist by ASCA and would use these resources to enhance our bullying prevention programming.
such a much needed resource; our school has a no-tolerance policy, but bullying is becoming challenging in the lower grades at alarming rates and it’s shameful that kids believe this behavior is acceptable – this would be a super resource! Our school counselor needs more resources to help address at all age levels; this would be a wonder gift to offer!
I serve approximately 150 child care programs in Iowa as their child care consultant and I also train classes on the Pyramid Model, I use many materials within the context of this training series to help programs implement concepts learned in the training. I also consult with centers and home providers when they are having bullying issues and they need help. I would be able to model for them how they might use the resources within their program.
I work at a K-5 Elementary building and am always looking for new resources to address this important topic. These texts would help expand the work we are doing surrounding bullying response and prevention at my school!
My FCCLA leadership chapter is doing some upcoming workshops for teachers on bullying. It would be great to give these resources to them AND for us to use them in the presentations. They fit perfectly into the topic the teens are going to be teaching/sharing with the teachers in our district.
I work with students from ages k-21 that are special needs, autistic and emotionally disturbed for individual and group counseling
Prevention is KEY! The resources will provide our students opportunities to learn about how they can stand up to bullies through group guidance lessons as well as individual counseling skills. As a counselor, the above resources will enable our students to feel encouraged to act and speak out against bullying on campus or via cyberspace.
I am a school librarian in a school, Grades K – 8. I would display the Anti-Bullying resources in the library, introduce them to the classes, and discuss some of the bullying issues in our school. I would also encourage the teachers to bring resources into the classroom when bullying issues arise among their students.
I facilitate a Rotary leadership training event called Rotary Youth Leadership Awards for 100 high school leaders in an urban setting. I would this publication as a train the trainer resource.
Our school does not have a Bully Prevention program and would benefit from incorporating a school wide program. In the midst of CPS budget cuts and high social emotional needs, we can use all the support we can get for our students. These resources would be implemented to enhance violence and bullying prevention. Thank you
I am the school psychologist in an inner-city school. We currently have grades k-6, but we are “growing out” to 7th and 8th during the next 2 years. Bullying is always one of the concerns that we must address year after year. Education is necessary to change the school culture to one of acceptance for all. We currently have small groups run by our social worker to assist students who are frequent targets of bullies to acquire better self-advocacy skills. We need to be able to bring programs into the classrooms to have a greater impact on school climate. The ability to raise awareness, give students common vocabulary, and allow opportunities for discussion and reflection would be infinitely aided by resources that you are offering.
I would use these resources to specifically address an issue that is becoming an increasing problem–a complete lack of empathy. In this digital world too few students really understand the impact their actions have on others. These would be great resources to use in creating a unit based on that specific issue.

I would use these Anti-Bullying resources in both of my Elementary Schools for a Bulletin Board to promote ways to deal with bullying to the entire school. I am forming a Student Bullying Committee and we would use these resources for presentations to all the students! In small peer groups I work with I would utilize the resources to help those in groups who need tools to stand up to bullying as well as, provide tools for those that are bullying to deal with their anger and other issues in a safe manner!
I work as an Elementary School Counselor in four buildings, both public and parochial. Bibliotherapy is one of the most effective forms of school counseling and a personal favorite, so these would be a tremendous asset, as I work with my hundreds of kids!
We are a grades 6-12 building with a variety of bullying issues. This group of resources would allow our PBIS committee to prepare our students deal with the problems they face.
