Free Spirit Kids Can Cope Series has been a great resource in my classroom for helping kids talk about big feelings. I also have used them at home with my two children, who are trying to cope with virtual school this year. I would give them 5 stars and recommend to parents and educators.
My kids also love the Zach Series and it has been rewarding to see them use different coping techniques outlined in the book when processing their own feelings!

I like the information and choices
Not caring what other people think if a child with a disability acts differently than expected and using it as an opportunity to raise awareness of kids with special needs.
I am a free spirit because I love to help kids learn. I may use unconventional methods, and think outside the box. I try to show kids how to make connections to the real world. I also think it is important to teach them how to have manners, say please and thank you, and be good people.

I’m a free spirit because I always look at the child’s perspective and try to figure out how the situation feels to them.
Because I am a teacher, I can be a free spirit everyday. And although we have a schedule and routines that we follow, I am free to do what I love which is helping kids learn and seeing their happiness.

Being a free-spirited educator is so very important! Having an open-mind, and being welcoming of feedback and new ideas is what i strive to do. A fresh approach on learning is imperative in the classroom, and I always strive to seek new information from my colleagues and students as well. Sometimes we need to pave our own path; we can follow the lead of others and stick to a regimented, straight-forward approach, however we all know that each child learns differently. Breathing fresh air into our classroom and into the lungs of our students provides for endless possibilities and fosters a deep love of learning!!
